Foundational Organization

OJM is growing up! As with many not-for-profits, Orphan Justice Mission began as a dream to help children in the world who were without primary caretakers, basic nutrition, medical care, education, and spiritual leadership. However, the orphan crisis is massive in both depth and breadth of need, and determining just where to pitch in has taken some thought. We found ourselves playing missional pinball, trying to find out how best we can serve both the children in underdeveloped nations and the already existing NGO's (non-government agencies or not-for-profits) that are currently addressing the issues of injustice, poverty, malnutrition, AIDS, etc. Frankly, we've had to simply put our shoulders to the plow and let God reveal to us, a bit through trial and error, what we can be best at and how we can bring true value to this Kingdom endeavor.

But now in our fourth year (our third in partnership with our start-up church partner Glory of Christ Church in Dwaniro, Uganda), we have a strong vision for what we're doing and where we're going. So we've been working hard at writing our organizational policy, revamping our board structure, and laying the organizational foundation that will serve us greatly in the future. It's this understanding of what we do, who we do it for, and why we do it, that will guide us into what we hope will be many fruitful years of ministry, transforming churches and communities into fully equipped combatants of fatherlessness.

So, please stay tuned as we will soon unveil our website, which will contain all of the information describing the work of OJM.
